Embraco at HVAC&R Japan

Embraco, a global provider of refrigeration technology for the complete residential and commercial cold chain, and part of the Nidec Global Appliance portfolio of brands, is going to participate for the first time at the HVAC&R Japan trade show, from February 1st to 4th 2022, in Tokyo. In its booth, the brand will highlight refrigeration compressors to food service and food retail applications especially tailored for the Japanese market needs. The booth is number 2-306, East Halls 1,2 venue, in Tokyo Big Sight, Japan.

“HVAC&R Japan has played an important role as Japan’s only specialized exhibition in the refrigeration industry over the past half-century. As a brand that always valued the opportunities to develop a close relationship with the Japanese market, Embraco is glad to be part of this event”, says Esequias Pereira Junior, APA Light Commercial Sales and Marketing Director at Nidec Global Appliance.

“We will present a portfolio of robust compressors for commercial refrigeration, developed for Japanese requirements, approved for multi refrigerants with lower GWP (global warming potential), that deliver high performance and energy efficiency, for a low life cycle cost”, he adds.

FMFT: multi refrigerant for large capacity applications

The FMFT compressors are a subfamily in the FMF portfolio, for applications that require high cooling capacity, such as freezers over a thousand liters, frozen islands more than two meters long and reach ins. Using variable speed technology (inverter), the FMFT can achieve up to 40% reduction in energy consumption in comparison with traditional fixed speed compressors. The models being presented at the show are the FMFT415Z and FMFT 415L, approved for multi refrigerants, using R134a and R1234yf, which is an HFO with a GWP (global warming potential) of only 4. The cooling capacity can reach up to 560W in AshraeLBP32, with a maximum displacement of 15 cc, and it can operate in a wide range of rotations per minute, thus delivering the desired temperature with great effectiveness.

VNEU213GK for reach ins and frozen islands

The VNEU213GK is a model from the VNEU family focused on reach ins and frozen islands. It is a variable speed (inverter) compressor, coming in refrigerant options R404A and R448A, which is an HFO blend with a lower GWP (global warming potential). This model was developed specifically for the Japanese market, to offer a highly energy efficient solution with a refrigerant option that allows for compliance with Japanese regulations for the coming years. It has a cooling capacity of 1000 Watts in AshraeLBP32.

EMT for under counters and beer servers

The EMT is a fixed speed compressor (on-off) for food service refrigeration equipment such as undercounters, one door reach ins, beer servers (also known as beer dispensers) and display cases in food retail. It is suitable for applications with temperatures from -5ºC to 15ºC. During 2022 the EMT line up will be implemented in China to be closer to the Japanese market. The compressor offers a cooling capacity of 430 Watts,in 50Hz, and 520 Watts, in 60Hz in R134a AshraeHBP46 condition.

NEU for a wide range of applications

The versatility of the NEU compressor allows it to be suitable for a wide range of refrigeration equipment in food service and food retail segments, from freezers, cold rooms and reach ins to glass chillers. It is a robust compressor, with high energy efficiency and cooling capacity, with low noise for this size, capable of working in severe field conditions. For food service applications in Japan, the models have options in refrigerants R134a and R1234yf and are available for single and 3 phase. As a next step, Embraco will approve NEU on R404A and R448A.
