Embraco, a global brand under Nidec Global Appliance, will present its latest high-efficiency refrigeration solutions at HVAC&R Japan 2026, held from January 27 to 30 at Tokyo Big Sight. The company will highlight technologies for commercial applications, including variable-speed compressors, fixed-speed options, and customizable R290 units, aiming to support energy efficiency and regulatory compliance in the Asia-Pacific region.
Key highlights include Embraco’s variable-speed compressors, such as the new VLT model for light commercial refrigeration. This compact unit, available in R290 and R600a, features a bivolt and bi-frequency inverter for energy savings and operational resilience. The FMF family, also on display, offers displacement from 6 to 15 cc and is compatible with three-phase systems and refrigerants like R290 and R1234yf, serving sectors including food retail, medical, and scientific refrigeration.
Embraco will also unveil its new scroll compressor portfolio, expanding into heating and air conditioning applications. Designed for residential and commercial use, the scroll range covers capacities from 1.2 HP to 35 HP and supports multiple refrigerants, including R410A, R404A, and low-GWP options such as A2Ls and R290.
In line with the industry shift toward natural refrigerants, the brand will display a customizable sealed monoblock unit pre-charged with R290, offering a simplified, sustainable solution for OEMs. The “Sync it All” ecosystem will also be featured, combining Embraco’s controller, variable-speed compressor, Youcontrol interface, and the new Embraco Flow fan pack to deliver energy-efficient, integrated system performance.
The booth will also include Embraco’s fixed-speed compressor lines for three-phase applications. These include the EH model for compact professional kitchen equipment, the low-noise NEX series with cooling capacity up to 1 kW, and the NT line offering up to 1.5 HP for applications like ice machines, cold rooms, and ultra low temperature freezers. All models are compatible with refrigerants such as R290, R1234yf, and various HFO blends.
“At this edition of HVAC&R Japan, we want to highlight that we not only have a complete and highly energy efficient portfolio, but also that our solutions for Japan are customized to the country’s specific market needs and to solve the efficiency and regulatory challenges faced by Japanese OEMs,” said Esequias Pereira Junior, Sales and Marketing Director for the Asia and Pacific region.
