Embraco, a provider of refrigeration technology and part of Nidec Global Appliance, will showcase a new monoblock concept at the AHR Expo 2025 in Orlando, Florida, from February 10–12. Currently in development, this top-mounted solution for reach-in refrigerators is designed to improve energy efficiency, simplify installation, and ensure compliance with evolving regulations.

Next-Generation Monoblock for Reach-Ins

The new monoblock concept is being developed to meet DOE (Department of Energy) and NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) standards, offering manufacturers a plug-and-play refrigeration system that simplifies assembly while delivering high performance.

Key features include:

  • Up to 30% energy savings compared to standard market solutions, enabled by advanced components from Embraco’s Sync it All portfolio.
  • Flexible configurations, allowing customization of the condenser, evaporator, and base plate to fit various applications and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Regulatory compliance, ensuring readiness for upcoming DOE efficiency standards and NSF food safety requirements.
  • Adaptability, with a design that supports multiple reach-in refrigerator models, optimizing production and storage processes for manufacturers.

“The AHR Expo is one of the main events in the US for the HVAC&R market, and we are here to reinforce our position as a one-stop solutions provider for the commercial refrigeration segment, with solutions that make us a key partner for customers to face the challenges of current and future regulations regarding energy efficiency and food safety”, says Michel Moreira, Commercial Appliances Business Sales Director for North America at Nidec Global Appliance. He underscores Embraco’s commitment to innovation and customer success: “With groundbreaking solutions like our future new monoblock and the Sync it All portfolio, we are not only addressing today’s market needs but shaping the future of refrigeration.”
