Eurovent presents cPCR recommendations for HVAC at ISH Frankfurt

Eurovent held a press conference on 18 March 2025 during the ISH Exhibition in Frankfurt to present its recommendations on complementary product category rules (cPCR) for HVAC products. The session addressed ongoing developments in environmental regulation and lifecycle assessment for the sector.

The presentation covered clarifications on Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), expected updates from the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), and lifecycle Global Warming Potential (GWP) requirements. Eurovent also highlighted current work within CEN/TC 156 WG 26 and CEN/TC 195 WG 7.

Key recommendations were issued on cPCR for air filters and ventilation units. The assessment of energy at the building level was discussed, including guidance on using Eurovent Recommendation 6/19 for Life Cycle Cost calculations of Air Handling Units.

The full set of presentations is available for download in the ‘Related Documents’ section on the Eurovent website, under the event page titled “ISH Press Conference: Eurovent Recommendations on cPCR for HVAC products.
