At AHR Expo 2026 in Las Vegas, Heatcraft Refrigeration Products, part of Lennox International, presented new refrigeration equipment and educational initiatives, highlighting its focus on low-GWP refrigerants and workforce development.
The company introduced a 90bar CO2 low-profile unit cooler designed for walk-in food retail and restaurant applications, which will be available later this year. Compared to 45bar CO2 evaporators, this model reduces potential refrigerant venting, improves charge retention, and supports faster system restarts, thereby reducing downtime and backup power needs. Also previewed was a 15hp CO2 vertical condensing unit intended for commercial processes and cold storage. Expected later in 2026, the unit offers a low-GWP solution for applications not requiring large rack systems, optimizing performance and total cost of ownership.
To further support contractors and technicians, Heatcraft will open a new training center at its Stone Mountain, Georgia facility in spring 2026. The dedicated center includes a classroom and a connected lab with live refrigeration systems for hands-on learning. The expanded training program includes a new Counter Sales Certification Program with four self-paced online modules for wholesaler counter teams, and the Heatcraft Masters Program with 25 modules and four certifications covering A2L and CO2 systems. Courses are offered in-person and through partner locations.
“We’re responding with additional comprehensive, flexible programs for contractors, technicians and the wholesaler counter teams that support them,” said Pete Grasso, manager of marketing and training at Heatcraft.
