Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions said it will present its portfolio of sustainable retail refrigeration solutions at EuroShop (Hall 6, stand E62). The company will focus on CO2 condensing units designed for food stores, supermarkets, and smaller retail spaces, and will also present air purification technologies aimed at improving indoor climate in shop premises.
At the center of the stand, Panasonic will show CO2 condensing units from the CR series in different performance classes. The range includes a compact unit rated at 1 PS (approx. 0.74 kW / 0.99 hp) developed for minishops, as well as a CO2 condensing unit rated at 8 kW (approx. 27,300 BTU/h) intended for retail stores and supermarkets. Panasonic said the systems feature compact design, low weight, and low sound levels, and that the high level of prefabrication can reduce installation effort.
Panasonic will also present iCore and iCool refrigeration units. The iCore line, described as the flagship of its CO2 condensing units, offers cooling capacities of up to 29 kW (approx. 99,000 BTU/h) for normal refrigeration and up to 15 kW (approx. 51,200 BTU/h) for frozen applications. The iCool series is described as using conventional, modern refrigerants and reaches up to 42 kW (approx. 143,300 BTU/h) for normal refrigeration and up to 14 kW (approx. 47,800 BTU/h) in the low-temperature range. Panasonic said these product lines already meet tightened environmental requirements that will apply from 2030 in Europe; it added that CO2 is neither toxic nor flammable, with a global warming potential of 1 and an ozone depletion potential of 0.
