President of AEFYT has participated in the KET4F-Gas Conference

Susana Rodríguez, president of AEFYT, has participated in the KET4F-Gas Conference organized by FEUGA, Fundación Empresa-Universidad Gallega, around the application of the circular economy in the use of fluorinated gases for refrigeration systems.

At the round table "Towards a circular industry 4.0 for the efficient management of fluorinated gases", the president of the Association of Cold Companies and its Technologies has highlighted the particularity of the Spanish case and has ensured that "we are a vanguard in Europe on the economy circulate almost involuntarily. The enormous penalty for Spain that the GFEI has entailed, which since 2014 has been taxing high GWP refrigerants in Spain economically, has forced us, with a great effort on the part of the industry, to be far ahead in recycling as well as in regeneration and implementation of low GWP fluorinated gases ". Now it can be said that respect for these environmental premises is part of the competitiveness strategy of sample companies

Regarding the challenge of the recovery and recycling of fluorinated gases, "what cannot be accepted is that recovering gases is more expensive than emitting them into the atmosphere 'through carelessness'. In my opinion, recycling and recovery should be rewarded, and that these actions are not more burdensome than being respectful with the environment, "he said.

In addition, she emphasized the importance and due consideration that all practices aimed at achieving maximum energy efficiency and reducing emissions into the atmosphere, such as leak control or automation of facilities, must have.

Susana Rodríguez has shared a discussion table with representatives of other European associations, such as Laurent Guegan, of ADC3R, Association of Distributors, Conditioners, Recuperators and Refrigeration Managers of France, and Nuno Roque, of APIRAC, Portuguese Association of Companies of the Thermal sectors , Energetic, Electronic and Environmental. Ana Belén Pereira, from the NOVA University of Lisbon, also participated.
