Peak+ Launches Factory-Installable Adiabatic Pre-Cooling System

Peak+ has launched the CORE adiabatic pre-cooling system for data centers. The system integrates directly into air-cooled chillers and other air-cooled equipment and can be installed at the factory, off-site prefabrication facilities or in the field.

CORE is designed for high-temperature environments where condenser entering air temperature must be reduced to the chiller system design temperature or below to avoid performance derate. The system can maintain a targeted cooled dry-bulb condenser entering air temperature, allowing operators to minimize water use.

The frames are positioned directly in front of condenser coils on V-coil-style air-cooled chillers, condensers and radiators. Factory and off-site installation are intended to reduce on-site assembly and integration work, while field installation is available for existing equipment.

CORE joins Peak+’s existing external frame-based pre-cooling system, now called HALO. According to Peak+, its systems can address failing external CFDs, reduce peak PUE, protect condenser coils, mitigate hot-air recirculation and chiller derate, increase peak cooling capacity by up to 40% and reduce compressor energy use by up to 50%.
