REHVA has launched REHVA Academy, an eLearning platform focused on practical, applied knowledge in engineering services and HVAC. The platform will support REHVA Member Associations in national training, qualification and accreditation activities.
Two courses on smart building provisions are currently available. “Smart Functions of Buildings” covers the fundamental aspects of smart functions defined by European standards and technical frameworks.
“Smart Readiness Indicator Assessment” is an applied follow-up course that trains participants to conduct Smart Readiness Indicator assessments using a structured procedure and one of the available commercial tools.
REHVA is also developing several courses linked to EPBD IV, Directive (EU) 2024/1275. Under the directive, the European Commission must adopt a delegated act by 30 June 2027 requiring the Smart Readiness Indicator to be applied to non-residential buildings with an effective rated HVAC capacity above 290 kW (approximately 990,000 BTU/h).
Both courses reflect the European landscape and are currently available in English. National versions may become available through REHVA’s network of Member Associations.
