SPX Cooling Tech launches Marley OlympusMAX Fluid Cooler

SPX Cooling Tech, LLC has launched the Marley OlympusMAX Fluid Cooler for mission-critical facilities, data centers, industrial plants and high-density cooling applications. The unit is designed for dry and adiabatic cooling and is available in both adiabatic and dry configurations.

The OlympusMAX Fluid Cooler includes a bolt-on adiabatic module that can be installed at the factory, in the field or after the equipment is operational. SPX Cooling Tech said this is intended to provide flexibility as site conditions and demands change.

The adiabatic module uses a patent-pending recirculating adiabatic design to reduce blowdown and limit unnecessary water discharge. According to the company, the recirculation technology provides more uniform water flow across the pad, improving saturation efficiency, extending pad life and reducing mineral accumulation on critical components.

The unit features Marley Geareducer gear drives, robust construction materials and integrated component redundancy, including mission-critical fan and VFD systems. Unit options range from 120 to 240 horsepower (approx. 89 to 179 kW), with the design aimed at maximizing cooling capacity per square foot.

For installation and service, each unit ships with a factory-assembled electrical access platform, single-point wiring connection, pre-installed VFDs and PLC controls, and full-size access doors with internal walkways.
