The shareholders of the ebm-papst Group, market and technology leader for fans and motors, have appointed Stefan Brandl (48) as Chairman of the Board of Directors. He will officially take up his post on January 1, 2017. As COO, Thomas Wagner is to continue until then as spokesman for the Board of Directors of the corporate group.
With this choice, an internal solution has unanimously been decided upon. The shareholders explain: “In comparison to external candidates, Stefan Brandl came through as a team player with strong leadership skills, a high level of professionalism and a vision for the future”. As a member of the Board of Directors of the group, Brandl has for the last six months lead the strategic course of the company together with his colleagues.
Brandl, who has been working for the company since 1991, heads the Landshut division. “The trust my shareholders and my colleagues have given me is a great honor and incentive”, said Brandl. “I am committed to making sure that ebm-papst continues to expand its leading position as the Number One in the international market for fans and motors.”
