In 2020 AREA Annual Report:
- Signed the pledge against illegally traded HFCs and initiated work on the extension of the F-gas certification scheme to alternative refrigerants
- Co-signed a Joint Industry Statement on Healthy Buildings for All and started working on a contribution to the upcoming Heating & Cooling Strategy
- Issued guidance on safe maintenance of air conditioning systems in COVID-19 circumstances and highlighted our industry’s essential role
- Signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ISHRAE
- Became partner of the world’s first natural refrigerant virtual trade show
- Welcomed a Union of African Associations in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
- Took part in the World Refrigeration Day 2020 and the first Chillventa eSpecial
