The Mistral series is the most popular range of dry coolers offered by Kaltra that includes flat and V-shaped models with finned-pack copper-aluminum coils and capacities of up to 3MW in dry operation.
Starting from Q2 2023, the series will be extended for application flexibility and configurable with the following features:
- Power supplies of 50Hz and 60Hz
- Circulator pumps
- 7 heat exchanger fin spacings from 1.8mm to 3.6mm
- Multiple options for heat exchanger circuiting to balance capacity/pressure drops
- Anti-corrosion heat exchanger treatments, from painting to cataphoresis coating, suitable for C5-M environments
- Increased tube wall and fin thickness for the long service life of heat exchangers
- AC- or EC-motor fans and fan speed controllers
- High-temperature fan designs to support elevated fluid temperatures
- Fan diffusers
- Noise levels are adjustable with fan speed regulation
- Adiabatic pre-cooling, based on water spray systems or evaporative pads made from cellulose or aluminum, including recirculation pumps
- Internal frame partitioning into individual per-fan chambers for optimized performance and maintainability
- Units sized for optimal transport costs
- In total, 1473 base dry cooler models are available: 613 models in flatbed design, 380 V-shaped models with single fan rows, and 480 V-shaped models with two fan rows.
Importantly, design optimization led to a 9-percent price reduction for the updated Mistral lineup.
The standard warranty for Mistral series dry coolers remains three years, extendable to 5 years.
