Refrigeration and HVAC technology specialist BITZER has welcomed 13 new apprentices at its sites in Sindelfingen and Rottenburg-Ergenzingen, Germany, marking the beginning of their professional careers. The new training year 2025 includes apprenticeships in six commercial and technical fields.
BITZER, recognized multiple times as one of Germany’s top training companies, continues its long-standing tradition of vocational education. The new apprentices have chosen career paths in warehouse logistics, metal technology, industrial business management, industrial mechanics, mechatronics, and IT systems integration.
“This year we are especially pleased with the development in the technical sector: with three female apprentices, we have reached a new high in the professions of metal technology, industrial mechanics, and mechatronics. This reflects a positive trend toward greater diversity in traditionally male-dominated technical fields,” said Martin Frädrich, Head of Training and Continuing Education at BITZER.
As in previous years, the new training cohort begins with introductory days aimed at easing the transition from school to work. Established in 2009, this orientation includes company tours, team-building activities, and presentations to help apprentices get to know their future colleagues and workplace. “The first days are especially important. Apprentices not only gain insights into BITZER’s processes and structures but also learn the value of teamwork and mutual support,” Frädrich added. The introductory program is organized by current apprentices to ensure content is aligned with the needs of newcomers.
In total, BITZER will have 42 apprentices and six dual students at its Sindelfingen and Rottenburg-Ergenzingen sites for the 2025 training year. The company also plans to offer a wide range of apprenticeship and study opportunities for 2026, with applications already open via the BITZER career website and YouTube channel.
