DiversiTech Corporation, a US manufacturer of installation, repair and maintenance components for the HVAC/R industry, has acquired DITEK, a designer and manufacturer of surge protection equipment. Financial terms were not disclosed.
DITEK will operate as a stand-alone subsidiary. Its product lines will continue to be developed and manufactured at the company’s Florida facility, and ordering and customer service arrangements remain unchanged.
The deal extends DiversiTech beyond HVAC/R components into the electrical, fire and life safety, networking and security markets. Surge protection products will be distributed through DiversiTech’s service, support and distribution network, giving contractors, wholesalers and service technicians broader access to protection devices as installed systems become more connected and more expensive to replace.
DITEK was founded more than 35 years ago and specialises in surge protection design and US manufacturing. Its latest whole-home surge protective device won the Protective Devices category of the Electrical Construction & Maintenance 2026 Product of the Year competition.
DiversiTech, founded in 1971 and headquartered in the Atlanta metropolitan area, is North America’s largest manufacturer of equipment pads and operates more than 1 million square feet of manufacturing and distribution space in the US, Canada and Europe. Previous acquisitions include Packard, Fresh-Aire UV, PRO1, hilmor, Quick-Sling, SpeedClean and Polymer Adhesives.
