The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) will host AHRI Talks Korea: Building the Foundation for Data Center Efficiency on October 21 at KINTEX Exhibition Center 1 in Goyang, Republic of Korea. The event will address data center cooling solutions, the Korean Government’s support strategy for the industry, and AHRI standards and certification programs.
AHRI officials will discuss the association’s standards and certification programs and provide updates to certification programs for air handling units, coils, chillers, and other equipment. AHRI represents more than 300 manufacturers of HVACR and water heating equipment and has dedicated representation in Korea.
The association will sign two Memoranda of Understanding during the event. An agreement with the Korea Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Industry Association (KRAIA) will launch testing in Korea, while an agreement with Yungdo Engineering will cover referencing AHRI standards.
The program will include a keynote address by Seunghee Kang, Chairman of KRAIA, and presentations from M.S. Oh, Senior Managing Director of Yungdo Engineering, on the Government’s plans for the data center industry.
“Our standards and certification programs are designed to provide reliable, predictable performance for heating and cooling equipment, including data center cooling solutions, and our dedicated representative is ready to support Korea-based manufacturers,” said Henry Hwong, AHRI Senior Vice President of Global Services.
