The CIBSE MENA Awards 2026 recognised achievements in building engineering, sustainability and technology across the Middle East and North Africa. Organised by CIBSE in collaboration with its MENA Region, the awards ceremony took place at the W Hotel at Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, bringing together projects, companies and engineering professionals from across the region.
Egis Engineering Consultants won Mechanical Project of the Year, Electrical Project of the Year and Plumbing Project of the Year for the King Salman Park Water Treatment Complex. WSP Middle East received Project of the Year for the Zayed National Museum, while Meinhardt Group won Sustainable Project of the Year for Moro Data Center Phase 3.
In the data centre categories, Meinhardt Group won Datacentre Project of the Year – Consultant for Moro Data Center 3.0, while BK Gulf LLC received the contractor award for the Khazna DXB9 Project. Dubai Municipality Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Program won Retrofit Project of the Year, with Five Hotel Palm Jumeirah by DCServe Equipment Trading LLC receiving a Highly Commended distinction.
In the manufacturer categories, Central Ventilation Systems (CVS) won the Sustainability Impact award, while Rheem Centurion VRF with Hot Water Calorifier & Heat Reclaim System received the Technology Excellence award. Caleffi Hydronic Solutions’ LEGIOMIX®evo 6003 series and Vertiv’s CoolChip CDU were highly commended. Cundall won MEP Consultancy of the Year, BK Gulf LLC won MEP Contractor of the Year, and CMS GLOBAL was named Supplier of the Year.
Individual honours included Mechanical Engineer of the Year for Ghassan Almotasib of Egis Engineering Consultants and Sustainability Engineer of the Year for Roaa Babiker of Buro Happold. Nizar Hamed of FJ Energy Solutions received Engineer – Manufacturer or Supplier of the Year, while Quresh Motiwala of Leminar Air Conditioning Industries LLC won Executive – Manufacturer and Supplier of the Year.
The awards also recognised digital engineering initiatives, including the Automated MEP Design Suite by Design Solutions Inc, which won Digital Innovation Initiative of the Year – Consultants. Arup’s Automation of Ventilation and Air Conditioning Design received a Highly Commended distinction. The event was supported by headline sponsor FJ Group and deluxe sponsors CVS, Polypipe Middle East and Victaulic.
