Beijer Ref AB has appointed Jonas Steen as Chief Executive Officer and President, effective 1 November 2026. Steen, currently Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the company’s EMEA business area, will succeed Joel Davidsson, who will remain acting CEO and President until the transition and then continue as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Steen joined Beijer Ref in 2010 and has held several senior management positions within the group. He currently oversees EMEA operations, which generate approximately SEK 23 billion (USD 2.5 billion) in annual net sales. Previously, he served as COO for APAC, with annual net sales of approximately SEK 6 billion (USD 650 million), and as Vice President for the Nordic region and Eastern Europe.
During the transition, Steen will retain his responsibilities as COO EMEA alongside his new CEO role. Beijer Ref will initiate recruitment for a new COO.

Steen stated that his priorities include enhancing the company’s offering, strengthening customer relationships and supporting long-term profitable growth. Joel Davidsson will present Beijer Ref’s third-quarter 2026 interim report on 22 October.
