CoolKit wins UK refrigerated van award at 20-year milestone

UK-based refrigerated van converter CoolKit has won the ‘Refrigerated Panel Van of the Year’ title at the 2025 TCS&D Awards, marking its fifth win and coinciding with the company’s 20th anniversary.

The manufacturer previously received the award in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2023. Founded in 2005 with four employees, CoolKit now employs over 140 people at its Blackburn production site and has invested more than £2 million (approx. USD 2.4 million) in local operations over the past year.

Operating from a 100,000 sq ft (approx. 9,300 m²) facility, CoolKit reached a record output of more than 160 converted vans and insulated box bodies in a single month. The company’s products are used across the UK by fleet operators requiring temperature-controlled transport.

CoolKit highlights the use of lightweight insulation systems, recycled materials, and advanced refrigeration technologies as part of its efforts to support operational efficiency and environmental goals in the sector.

Rupert Gatty, founder and CEO, said: “Reaching our 20-year anniversary is a proud moment for the whole team, so to do it with this award is extra special.”
