Garbe Industrial Real Estate Acquires 16 Cooling Logistics Halls In Germany

At the end of September, Garbe Industrial Real Estate GmbH acquired a portfolio of 16 refrigeration warehouses in Germany from the Dobling group for a private investor.
The long-term rented properties have a value of more than 240 million euros and form a strategically important network in Germany for frozen food logistics. The transaction was financed by Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen (Helaba) and the medical care provider Westfalen-Lippe (ÄVWL).

“With the acquisition of the refrigeration logistics halls, we are forging ahead in the market for fresh food logistics, which is becoming more and more important as a result of the growing trend towards online food retailing,” said Garbe Industrial Real Estate CEO Christopher Garbe. “At the same time, we again confirmed with this transaction that Garbe, thanks to its good market access, is able to identify and successfully close down renditiant investment opportunities for its customers even in narrow markets. We would like to thank everyone involved for their professional cooperation. ”
The Garbe Industrial Real Estate of Greenberg Traurig and HLB Stückmann was represented legally and for tax purposes. The seller’s side was represented by Arnecke Sibeth in Munich. The ÄVWL was accompanied by Clifford Chance.
With this transaction, Garbe Industrial Real Estate GmbH now manages a real estate asset of two billion euros and more than 2.6 million square meters of lettable space. The company is thus one of the leading providers of logistics real estate in Germany.
