Kawczyński Logistics has acquired 50 new trailers equipped with Carrier Transicold’s Vector HE 17 refrigeration units to enhance its food and pharmaceutical delivery services across Europe. These additions represent a significant expansion of the company’s fleet and a continued focus on sustainability, efficiency, and high-performance refrigeration.
The new units, mounted on 13.6-metre trailers, join Kawczyński Logistics’ fleet of 320 trailers—most of which feature Carrier Transicold refrigeration systems. The trailers will be used daily across Europe, with routes spanning from Greece and Spain to the U.K.
The Vector HE 17 offers a cooling capacity exceeding 16 kW and delivers up to 30% fuel savings compared to the older Vector 1550 model. Weighing just 720 kg, it is one of the lightest units in its class, which helps optimize trailer payload capacity.
Key to its efficiency is Carrier Transicold’s latest inverter-driven compressor technology, which adapts the compressor speed to match real-time cooling demand. The unit also features a hermetically sealed compressor and an economiser, reducing refrigerant leak risks and further enhancing performance.
Like its counterpart, the Vector HE 19, the Vector HE 17 is built around Carrier’s advanced E-Drive technology, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. E-Drive converts engine power into electricity to run the refrigeration system, eliminating the mechanical transmissions typical of belt-driven systems for greater reliability and efficiency.
Based in Ślesin, near Bydgoszcz, Kawczyński Logistics operates 290 tractor units and continues to grow its trailer fleet to meet increasing demand. The integration of the Vector HE 17 units aligns with Carrier’s 2030 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals, which aim to help customers avoid more than 1 gigaton of greenhouse gas emissions.
