Thermo King will present new transport refrigeration technologies at IAA Transportation 2026 in Germany, taking place September 15–22. The company’s E-Zone showcase will focus on electric refrigeration, energy recovery, fuel efficiency, connected solutions and services for cold chain operators.
Among the new products will be additions to Thermo King’s electric refrigeration portfolio. The company will expand its E-Series for light commercial vehicles and E-Volution range for large trucks, with the new units designed to provide greater vehicle-platform flexibility and optimised power management. Electric refrigeration solutions for vans, trucks and trailers, as well as modular battery packs, will also be featured.
Thermo King will demonstrate its commercially available AxlePower smart energy-recovery system, which powers the Advancer-e trailer refrigeration unit. The company will also present the Advancer range with EcoMode, which can further reduce fuel consumption by up to 50%, alongside hybrid, HVO-compatible and new low-GWP refrigerant options.
Digital technologies at the exhibition will include Thermo King Connected Solutions, an integrated platform designed to use operational data to support uptime, resilience and fuel savings. Thermo King Rental services will also be presented as an option for fleets introducing electric technologies.
“One of the biggest myths is that electric refrigeration requires a fully electric vehicle. It doesn’t. At IAA, we will show how fleets can begin that transition with electric units for vans, trucks and trailers, AxlePower energy recovery technology and modular battery packs,” said Claudio Zanframundo, president, Thermo King EMEA and Asia Pacific.
