Trane Technologies acquires German Thermo King dealer TKV

Trane Technologies and its Thermo King brand have acquired Transport-Kälte-Vertrieb (TKV), the largest of five independent Thermo King and Frigoblock dealers in Germany. The transaction closed on May 4, and the business will continue serving the southern Germany market as Thermo King Deutschland.

The acquisition expands Thermo King’s transport refrigeration service network across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. It follows recent acquisitions in the UK and Belgium and is intended to support the company’s scale, reach and activities in refrigerated transport.

TKV is headquartered in Ulm, Germany, and has represented Thermo King in southern Germany for 55 years. The company provides sales, installation and after-sales service for transport refrigeration units and accessories, as well as maintenance and telematics solutions.

Jorge Estelle Caro, previously Thermo King Regional Director North & Central, has become General Manager for TK Deutschland. TKV’s former owner and general manager, Herwig Kiesling, will remain with the business to support its continued growth.

“This acquisition takes Thermo King’s leadership in Germany to the next level and enhances our exceptional customer support across the entire region,” said Claudio Zanframundo, President of Thermo King EMEA. “We welcome the opportunity to be even closer to our customers in this critical market. This step also opens new doors for investment and growth as we build on TKV’s high-performing, service-driven business and leverage its best practices to further advance sustainable temperature-controlled transport solutions in the region.”
