The ebm-papst Group has published its voluntary sustainability report for the 2025/26 financial year, outlining progress in renewable energy generation, emissions reduction, and energy-efficient solutions. The 72-page report covers environmental, social, and governance activities across the company.
The Group increased its installed photovoltaic capacity to 10.2 MWp during the reporting year. Electricity generated by its photovoltaic systems and gas-fired combined heat and power plants accounted for 14.4% of total electricity consumption, with solar power alone contributing 7.7%. The company is expanding photovoltaic installations at locations where their economical and efficient operation can be ensured.
The report also introduces a climate transition plan covering Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain. The plan consolidates emissions reduction measures and supports the company’s commitment to the goals of the Paris Agreement.
In product development, ebm-papst highlights its Sustainable Fan Lifecycle approach, covering digital development, manufacturing, operation, reuse, and refurbishment. The company also describes how digital services, artificial intelligence, and its NEXAIRA digital ecosystem can help improve the operating efficiency of existing systems.
The report addresses workforce development, diversity, supply chain management, and the company’s “Local for Local” approach to regional value creation. Prepared in voluntary alignment with the European Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), it also outlines the company’s focus on 11 of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
“For us, sustainability and economic success are inextricably linked. Against this backdrop, we view climate and environmental protection as an integral part of our corporate management,” said Harald Klaiber, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Transformation Officer of the ebm-papst Group.
