Epta reduced its Scope 1 and Scope 2 CO2 emissions by 21% in 2025 compared with 2024, according to its Sustainability Highlights 2025. The Group also increased self-generated electricity from photovoltaic systems by 44% and recycled more than 96% of production waste.
Epta submitted its commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) as part of its approach to long-term emissions reduction. The company also reported refrigeration developments focused on energy efficiency, materials and recyclability.
The Advance+ model in the new Zenith vertical cabinet range from Costan and Bonnet Névé achieves energy savings of up to 36% compared with the previous generation. Iarp’s Alba range of negative-temperature cabinets uses plastics containing up to 40% recycled content, partly recovered from production waste, while maintaining the same footprint and energy class despite increased storage capacity. Iarp’s UNIT plug-in refrigerated counter for Food & Beverage applications is up to 80% recyclable at end of life.
In workforce development, Epta delivered more than 100,000 hours of training during 2025 and launched the Epta Service Academy for refrigeration technicians and service specialists. Through EptaGIVES, employees across 27 countries contributed more than 14,000 volunteer hours to local communities.
Epta also strengthened its Sustainable Procurement programme during 2025, expanding ESG due diligence across its supply chain through continuous monitoring, digital tools and supplier collaboration.
