Grand Opening of NewCold Burley

NewCold conducted the ceremony Grand Opening Event of facility in Burley, Idaho, USA. The event was well visited by all stakeholders which made it to a great success.

Company grateful to the following persons who all contributed to the opening by a well esteemed speech. In order of performance:

We also thank Valerie Kaminski, Managing Director Northern America NewCold, Jonas Swarttouw, Business Development Director USA, Derek Bedke, Site Manager Burley, and Sarah Seymour, Office Manager Burley, and all other colleagues, for their aw some contribution to make this event a success!

The Burley location, which was first announced last year, largely supports the logistics needs of McCain Foods, Canada. McCain Foods also recently completed a $200 million processing plant expansion in Burley.

“We are proud to have successfully developed and started up this large-scale, state-of-the-art automated cold storage warehouses in a relatively short period of time,” says Jonas Swarttouw, U.S. director. “Teamwork, between all the experts at McCain Foods, our suppliers, the local community and our own team at NewCold have been the key to this achievement. We look forward to a long-term partnership with McCain and the Southern Idaho community.”

“This has been a great addition to Burley and the region, bringing us into the realm of high-tech logistics and warehousing,” said Burley Economic Development Director, Doug Manning. “NewCold is an outstanding company that has had a positive effect on our community and has been wonderful to work with throughout the entire process.”
