Lineage Logistics Closes Acquisition of Henningsen Cold Storage Co.

Lineage Logistics, LLC, the world’s largest and most innovative provider of temperature-controlled logistics solutions, announced it has closed the acquisition of Henningsen Cold Storage Co. (“Henningsen”).

The acquisition was first announced on May 28, 2020.

The acquisition adds to Lineage’s expansive U.S. facility network and bolsters its leading presence in the Pacific Northwest, with the addition of 14 facilities across Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Pennsylvania, North Dakota and Oklahoma.

The addition of Henningsen strengthens Lineage’s leading network of temperature-controlled facilities, which now spans 1.9 billion cubic feet and 56 million square feet of capacity across more than 300 facilities in 12 countries, spanning North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

“The Lineage network is stronger today with the closing of our acquisition of Henningsen Cold Storage, not only from a capacity and location standpoint, but also because their values-driven culture aligns exceptionally well to ours,” said Greg Lehmkuhl, President and Chief Executive Officer of Lineage. “As a fifth-generation family business, Henningsen brings to Lineage a legacy of reliability and long-standing relationships with customers, and our ability to serve them is better together. I’m excited to officially welcome the Henningsen team to the Lineage family.”

Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for Modular Refrigeration Systems in Life Sciences Distribution Centers

by Ramez Naguib, P.E. Introduction Life sciences distribution centers are under immense pressure to deliver consistent temperature control, comply with increasingly stringent regulations, and optimize operational efficiency. Traditional built-up refrigeration systems often prove cumbersome, costly, and slow to implement. In contrast, modular, factory-assembled refrigeration systems have emerged as a compelling alternative. Drawing on lessons from
