AAON Appoints CEO Matt Tobolski to Board of Directors

AAON, Inc. has expanded its Board of Directors from eight to nine members and appointed Matt J. Tobolski, PhD, as a director, effective May 13, 2025. Dr. Tobolski also assumed the role of President and CEO on the same date.

Dr. Tobolski succeeds Gary D. Fields, who will continue to serve on the Board and act as a special advisor. Tobolski was previously President and COO of AAON since January 2024. Before that, he was President of BASX Solutions, which he co-founded in 2013 and which AAON acquired in December 2021.

Founded in 1988, AAON provides HVAC solutions for commercial, industrial, and data center indoor environments. The company designs and manufactures configurable and custom-made equipment sold under the AAON and BASX brands. AAON is headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and operates an innovation center and testing lab at its facility.
