AAON appoints new CFO and adds general counsel in Oklahoma

AAON said Andy Cheung will join the Oklahoma-based HVAC company on April 20, 2026, as executive vice president and chief financial officer, while Luke Bomer joined on April 1 in the newly created role of general counsel. The company said the changes are part of a leadership transition and an expanded focus on governance, compliance and risk management.

Cheung will succeed current CFO Rebecca Thompson. Thompson will move to chief accounting officer, a position she held before becoming CFO in 2021. AAON said she will continue to support financial reporting, governance and accounting efficiency across the organization.

According to the company, Cheung most recently served as executive vice president and CFO at Commercial Vehicle Group Inc. for the past three years. AAON said he previously held senior financial leadership roles in the HVAC and automotive industries for more than 25 years and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Bomer joined AAON after nearly two decades as an attorney at Johnson & Jones. The company said he brings experience in corporate law, securities law, mergers and acquisitions, taxation and charitable foundations, and has served as AAON’s outside counsel and corporate secretary since 2015.

“I am very excited to add Andy and Luke to our team,” said Matt Tobolski, president and CEO of AAON, “and for the refocusing of Rebecca's expertise in service of our accounting functions. The opportunities ahead of us are immense, and we are confident that Andy, Luke, and Rebecca will strengthen our ability to execute with discipline, reinforce our governance framework, and deliver long-term value for our customers and shareholders.”
