Alfa Laval marks 100 years in Australia and New Zealand

Alfa Laval is marking 100 years of operations in Oceania after establishing Alfa Laval Australia in Sydney in 1926 and expanding to New Zealand a year later. The company said the centenary recognizes the work of generations who built the business across the region.

According to Alexander Jaeschke, Managing Director of Alfa Laval Oceania, the company held a celebration for staff at its Sydney service centre together with channel and industry partners from Australia and New Zealand, representatives from the Swedish embassy, and Executive Vice President Julien Gennetier. Retired employees also attended, including some who had worked at the company for more than 40 years.

Jaeschke said the evening program included a gala dinner in Sydney Harbour, indigenous performances, an official cake cutting and an awards ceremony reflecting the company’s history and achievements. He said the event provided an opportunity to share perspectives on past experience and the future of Alfa Laval Oceania.

Jaeschke said Alfa Laval Oceania serves long-standing customers in separation technology and has expanded its offering over time into sectors including mining, utilities, craft breweries and municipal wastewater plants. He said the company supports customers from design and commissioning to ongoing service through its service centres and technicians across the region.

“Our incredible history shows that Alfa Laval Oceania is resilient and can adapt to ever-changing market conditions,” said Jaeschke, Managing Director of Alfa Laval Oceania. “My vision is to build an agile team, dominate key industries with our product offering, and proactively stay ahead of the curve when it comes to industry trends and changing environments.”
