BITZER Welcomes Eight New Trainees at Schkeuditz Site
In August 2024, eight young adults began their vocational training at the BITZER site in Schkeuditz. The future industrial mechanics and mechatronics technicians can look forward to long-term career development within the company, a specialist in refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump technology.

BITZER in Schkeuditz is one of the largest training production companies in northern Saxony. Throughout their training, the company showcases further career opportunities for young adults and paves their way into the profession. This year, the specialist in refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump technology welcomed eight new trainees in the fields of industrial mechanics and mechatronics: seven for industrial mechanics and one for mechatronics. Successful completion of the training opens numerous doors at BITZER. "Our training program is an important investment in the future of our company. By offering young talents a long-term perspective and ensuring their continuous development, we create the conditions for a successful transition to permanent roles after graduation," says Ulrich Harm, Director of Human Resources at BITZER. Most of the employees who have completed their vocational training at BITZER Kühlmaschinenbau Schkeuditz GmbH since its founding in 1991 have become key pillars of the company. After their training, options such as part-time further education programs, including master craftsman training or advanced qualifications to become technicians or business administrators, are conceivable.

With the addition of the eight new trainees, the company now has a total of 29 trainees: 26 industrial mechanics, one logistics specialist, and two mechatronics technicians. The application phase for 2025 is already underway. The BITZER site in Schkeuditz is once again hiring in the fields of industrial mechanics and mechatronics, as well as in logistics. "We are proud that, through consistent talent recruitment and retention of skilled workers for more than three decades, we continue to expand our position as the largest employer in the manufacturing sector in the district of northern Saxony. We warmly welcome our new trainees. They can look forward to exciting tasks in a future-proof workplace at an innovation leader in the growing field of refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump technology," says Harm.
