Carrier Adds ClimaVision Light Commercial Zoning System

Carrier announced the launch of its new ClimaVision wireless climate control solution, which will make it easy for owners and operators of small to medium-sized commercial buildings between 5,000 and 50,000 square feet to manage comfort and energy efficiency in their facilities. ClimaVision joins the portfolio of control solutions offered by Carrier, including Carrier Connect Wi-Fi commercial thermostats for small, single zone buildings under 5,000 square feet and the i-Vu building automation system for larger commercial facilities over 50,000 square feet.

ClimaVision is a cloud offering tailored specifically for small to mid-sized buildings, an underserved market for building automation due to the cost and complexity of many control solutions. ClimaVision is ideal for offices, retail outlets, restaurants, banks, daycares and places of worship.

The ClimaVision control system features wireless communication for easy installation, pre-programmed air source and zone control algorithms compliant with ASHRAE Guideline 36 standards for energy efficiency and performance, cloud connectivity and multi-sensing devices for indoor air quality management. The system provides secure remote access and an intuitive user interface to manage comfort and efficiency in a single building, multiple buildings or an entire portfolio of buildings.

ClimaVision is compatible with Carrier and non-Carrier HVAC equipment. It supports constant volume and variable air volume zoning systems.

“We are excited to add ClimaVision to our portfolio of controls offerings, meeting the needs of light commercial buildings,” said Mark Jones, Controls Business Manager, Carrier. “Simple installation driven by wireless technology, along with an intuitive user interface that provides the right set of tools for improving comfort and efficiency, are critical components to bring these buildings online. Customers can replace their traditional thermostats with simple automation, and manage their buildings for increased comfort and efficiency from anywhere in the world.”

The ClimaVision system includes an easy-to-navigate graphical user interface with intuitive scheduling, alarming and trending capabilities. With a secure 900 MHz wireless mesh network, installers can skip difficult wiring steps, while building operators can set schedules, change setpoints and access real-time building performance data from any connected device.
