Copeland Sensi smart thermostats integrate with myQ app

Copeland announced a new integration between its Sensi smart thermostats and Chamberlain Group’s myQ app, enabling homeowners to control energy usage and manage smart home settings in a single platform. The integration adds thermostat controls to myQ, including changing system modes, adjusting temperature setpoints, and controlling the fan.

Homeowners can control HVAC settings from myQ

The announcement described energy costs as rising 5% over the past year and nearly 30% since 2021, and links the integration to efforts to manage residential energy consumption. Sensi thermostats are listed as saving users approximately 23% on HVAC energy consumption.

The integration is positioned for users who travel frequently or manage multiple properties, providing remote access to home systems. In regions with extreme weather conditions, it enables homeowners to monitor and adjust temperatures from anywhere.

Sensi is included in Copeland’s connected climate technologies portfolio and is described as focused on energy efficiency and sustainability. The thermostats can be leveraged in utility demand response programs to reduce peak energy demand and enable more renewable power on the grid.

“By integrating Copeland’s Sensi smart thermostats with myQ, we’re giving homeowners even more control of their home access and simplifying their daily routines– whether they’re at home or away.” — Kiel Fitzgerald, vice president, sales and strategy & operations at Chamberlain Group
