Daikin Applied’s European factories presented new virtual factory tour

Daikin Applied’s European factories can now be visited remotely thanks to new virtual factory tour. All manufacturing facilities are available for 360° tours, guided by Daikin Applied engineers.

Chiller factory

The chiller factory, built in 1969, and expanded over the years to provide production of the entire Applied product portfolio for Europe, Middle East & Africa, Asia, South America and Oceania. Today the factory covers more than 20,000 sqm and allows the manufacture of over 10,000 chillers and 5,000 compressors per year.

The whole factory has been mapped to show where air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, screw and centrifugal compressors, and the recently released R-32 Small Inverter Chiller are assembled.

Testing facilities

The Chiller factory also provides testing facilities that comply with the with Eurovent and AHRI certification standards. Clients can attend and witness unit performance in person, or remotely, thanks to the remote witness test service, soon to be available.

The new climatic chamber is AHRI (Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute) and Eurovent approved, and has been independently verified and accredited to test to EN 14511:2013, ISO 9614:2009 and other major recognised European and American HVACR industry standards.

All of these facilities from the manufacturing site based in Rome (Italy), have been mapped and will be available for remote tour.

Inverter factory

Daikin Applied Europe’s Power Electronics Division, opened in 2018. The facility is the result of an acquisition finalised in 2018, to invest in a team of professionals fully dedicated to the development of Inverter technology.

In Vicenza, Daikin Applied Europe design and produce the inverters which are integrated into Daikin screw compressors.

Tour Interactivity

The virtual factory tour has been designed for interactivity and flexibility using a 360° platform able to offer visitors a first-person view of Daikin Applied technologies.

The tour aims at showing the factories using live sessions (audio/video) between Daikin engineers and visitors.

Daikin Applied can  offer an experience tailored on the interests of the visitors, showing and describing exactly what the visitor wants to see.

How to book a visit

The service is already available, and it will be possible for visitors to book visits by getting in touch with their Daikin local sales representatives.
