Danfoss compressor factory in Arkadelphia to close
Danfoss has announced plans to close its Arkadelphia plant, which produces low-power scroll compressors, condensing units and assembles high-pressure pumps, and lay off 170 employees by the end of this year.

"Globally, we have seen declining demand for small capacity scroll compressors," - said Noel Ryan, President of Danfoss.

Because of the decline in demand, the factory in Arkadelphia will close and Danfoss will consolidate its scroll compressor and condensing unit production unit.

Danfoss will consolidate its scroll compressor and condensing unit production unit at other company locations.

“We are working with our employees to provide the best possible outplacement support. The decision is in no way a reflection of the efforts and commitment of our valued Arkadelphia workforce. Quite the contrary, our employees have demonstrated a tremendous work ethic and high performance. Instead, the decision is based on the need to optimize the business to meet current market conditions,” - Ryan said in the statement.
