On November 5, 2025, Danfoss inaugurated the expansion of its Monterrey factory in Mexico, doubling production capacity to meet growing demand for energy-efficient HVAC equipment across North and Latin America. The investment aligns with Danfoss’ LEAP 2030 strategy, aimed at strengthening global supply chains and reducing delivery times.
The expansion includes an enlarged compressor laboratory, increasing from 500 m² to 1,000 m², and enhances sustainability, safety, supplier diversity, and transparency in the supply chain. The LEED Silver-certified facility is designed to accommodate future growth and marks the fourth expansion since the site’s establishment.
Danfoss executives, including CEO Kim Fausing and Kristian Strand, President of Danfoss Climate Solutions, attended the ribbon-cutting alongside local officials and employees. Monterrey now employs over 1,400 people and plays a central role in Danfoss’ operations in the region.
“The expansion of our Monterrey facility reflects our ambition as a part of our LEAP 2030 strategy to be our customers’ preferred technology partner and deliver close to their markets,” said Kristian Strand. “With the investment in increased production in Mexico, we are in an even stronger position to help [customers] achieve their sustainability goals and create even greater value through close collaboration and increased resilience in the supply chain.”
Danfoss operates six factories in Mexico across Monterrey, Queretaro, and Reynosa, spanning a total of 170,000 m². The company has invested $100 million in Mexico over the past four years and employs 3,000 people nationwide.
