Fujitsu General announced that it has completed procedures following the public tender offer for its common shares by Paloma Rheem Holdings Co., Ltd. (Paloma Rheem HD). As a result, the company has become part of the Paloma Rheem HD Group.
Air conditioning remains Fujitsu General’s core business, with demand driven by energy efficiency, safety, comfort, and the role of heat pump systems as an alternative to fossil fuel equipment. The company also expects growth in its Tech Solutions division, supported by requirements for disaster response, miniaturization, and energy efficiency in electronics.
Fujitsu General stated it will continue to advance heat pump and inverter technologies, along with key components such as compressors and motors. The company plans to collaborate across the Paloma Rheem HD Group to strengthen competitiveness and expand in domestic and international markets. Long-term goals include integrating air conditioning and water heating technologies and contributing to decarbonization.
“Our Corporate Philosophy ‘Living together for our future’ guides us to expand our air conditioning and tech solutions businesses, while enhancing corporate value,” the company said. Fujitsu General noted that its name and trademarks will be maintained for a certain period, with any future changes to be announced later.
Paloma Rheem HD brings together Japan-based Paloma and US-based Rheem. The group manufactures and sells air conditioning, hot water, heating, and kitchen equipment. Fujitsu General and Rheem have collaborated since 2016 in North America through product supply and joint development.
