HVAC&R Community Descends On Lago Di Garda For Atmosphere Conference On Natural Refrigerants

The 9th annual ATMOsphere Europe conference is set to take place next week in beautiful Lago di Garda, Italy on 19-21 November.

The latest natural refrigerant-based HVAC&R solutions will again be in the European spotlight at the conference, with 70 presentations in 17 sessions over the three days. Over 400 key industry experts, including policymakers, manufacturers, end users, NGOs, academics and more will gather to discuss the latest market developments for natural refrigerants, provide updates on regulations and standards, and showcase new technology innovations. The main conference sessions will be simultaneously translated into English and Italian.

The programme will feature brand new sessions, including an interview with French end user Gecina about implementing natural refrigerant-based technologies in HVAC applications in commercial buildings, a dedicated session on natural refrigerant market trends by sheccoBase, and a future of the industry debate with HVAC&R industry associations.

ATMOsphere will also highlight new technologies, with parallel sessions covering the full range of natural refrigerant applications, from commercial and industrial refrigeration to HVAC and mobile air conditioning (MAC).

Other programme highlights include the Technology Trends session, with well-known industry experts Armin Hafner, Andy Pearson and René van Gerwen giving the audience an in-depth look at the latest trends with regard to CO2, ammonia and hydrocarbon-based technologies respectively.

Another all-star session of the conference is the End User Panel with Nestlé, Woolworths South Africa, Fresco & Vario, METRO and Migros. Some of the other end users in attendance include Pingo Doce, Biedronka, Colruyt, Delhaize Serbia, Modelo Continente, CERN, Renmans, and COOP Italy.

ATMOsphere Europe will also be hosting the 2nd Annual Accelerate Europe Awards ceremony on Tuesday, 20 November. The winner of the Innovation of the Year award will be chosen by a public vote and is now open to all. Polls close at 16:00 on 20 November. To vote, please click here.

The final session is the Future of the Industry debate, during which key experts will share their thoughts and predictions on where the HVAC&R sector is heading.

Pre-event workshops will be held by ebm-papst and SuperSmart, and after the conference a site visit to a supermarket will be organised by Italian manufacturer EPTA.
