Mojave Energy Systems announced that its ArctiDry HVAC units have surpassed 100,000 cumulative operating hours in commercial installations across the United States, achieving a reported 99.7% uptime. The company’s patented liquid desiccant technology combines dehumidification with energy efficiency, aiming to serve a broad range of HVAC applications.
According to Mojave, the ArctiDry system is designed for use in commercial environments such as manufacturing facilities, libraries, universities, research laboratories, retail stores, hotels, grocery stores, and warehouses. The system supplies air at dew points between 55°F and 35°F and can independently control dry bulb temperature and dew point, allowing for dehumidification without overcooling.
The system includes an ISMRE2 efficiency rating of up to 11 lbs/kWh, or up to 14 lbs/kWh when used with energy recovery ventilation (ERV), and is reported to reduce electricity use by up to 50%. Mojave also highlights the product’s compatibility with existing HVAC infrastructure and its minimal maintenance requirements.
"With active nationwide installations... Mojave has demonstrated these impressive reliability numbers in a wide variety of applications and across diverse climate conditions," said Aaron Meles, Vice President of Product at Mojave Energy Systems.
Mojave states that its systems are manufactured in Anderson, South Carolina, and are supported by multiple patents and UL certifications.
