Moon-Tech and Danone Japan partner on dynamic ice water project using NH3

Moon Environment Technology Co., Ltd. (MOON-TECH) and Danone Japan Co., Ltd. have signed an agreement to implement a high-efficiency dynamic ice water project at Danone's Tatebayashi factory in Gunma Prefecture, Japan. The project marks the beginning of a new collaboration between the two companies in green refrigeration technology.

The system will use a flake-like frazil ice slurry and ammonia (NH3) as the refrigerant to help buffer production load fluctuations and improve energy efficiency. According to MOON-TECH, the solution is part of its focus on low-carbon technologies and sustainable refrigeration systems.

To support the project, MOON-TECH has formed a dedicated key project team and will apply its modular and intelligent equipment manufacturing system. The company aims to ensure high-quality implementation throughout the process to assist Danone in enhancing product quality.

Danone Japan’s Representative Xavier Despres praised MOON-TECH’s technical support in the early stages of the project and expressed high expectations for the stability, safety, and environmental performance of the new solution. He also emphasized Danone’s interest in further collaboration.

Moon Environment CEO Zhao Baoguo reiterated the company’s commitment to developing energy-efficient, safe, and sustainable technologies under its philosophy of “Harmony between People and Nature.”
