Nordic Climate Group Acquires Three Firms to Expand in Sweden and Finland

Strategic acquisitions of Eliko, Porin Kylmäasennus Oy, and Talotekniikka Hile Oy reinforce regional capacity.

Nordic Climate Group has strengthened its local presence in western Sweden and Finland through the acquisition of three regional companies: Eliko in Sweden, and Porin Kylmäasennus Oy and Talotekniikka Hile Oy in Finland. The companies will continue operating under their existing brands and management, consistent with the Group’s decentralized model focused on sustainable, local growth.

Eliko Acquisition: Strengthening the West Coast of Sweden

Founded in 2019 and based in Ljungskile, Eliko provides cooling, heating, ventilation, and electrical services primarily for business clients. The company employs five people and reports annual revenues of SEK 20 million (approx. $1.85 million). Known for its close cooperation with existing Nordic Climate Group firms, Eliko is described as financially stable with an engaged team.

“Eliko combines strong financial stability with an engaged team that shares our vision of sustainable growth,” said Max Nordman, Country Manager Sweden, Nordic Climate Group.

Simon Hallman, Co-founder of Eliko, added: “Becoming part of Nordic Climate Group feels like a natural step for us. We already have established collaborations within the Group and look forward to continuing to grow with the right support and network.”

Porin Kylmäasennus Oy Acquisition: Boosting Coverage in Satakunta

In Finland, MV-Jäähdytys, Nordic Climate Group’s local subsidiary, has acquired Porin Kylmäasennus Oy. The company specializes in industrial and comfort cooling, cold storage, and heat pump installations. Based in Pori, it employs six people and reports annual sales of SEK 15 million (approx. $1.4 million). While initially consumer-focused, it now primarily serves business and public sector clients.

“Porin Kylmäasennus’ experience and expertise are an excellent addition to our regional offering,” said Ilpo Mäkelä, CEO of MV-Jäähdytys. “Together, we can now offer a broader range of services in the Satakunta region.”

Jari Määttä, owner of Porin Kylmäasennus Oy, commented: “The merger gives us access to a broader network, greater resources, and additional expertise. At the same time, we’ll maintain the way of working our customers and employees are used to.”

Talotekniikka Hile Oy Acquisition: Expanding Reach in Kanta-Häme

MV-Jäähdytys has also acquired Talotekniikka Hile Oy, a well-established provider of cooling technology solutions based in Hämeenlinna. With more than 40 years of market experience, the company serves both private and commercial clients. It employs five people and has a turnover of approximately EUR 1.4 million (approx. $1.5 million). The company will continue to operate under its own name, with CEO Toni Kankaanpää and the full team remaining in place.

“Talotekniikka Hile is a fantastic addition to our team. Through this acquisition, we’re gaining experienced people, and together we can strengthen local resources and improve our readiness for emergency calls in the Hämeenlinna area,” said Ilpo Mäkelä, CEO of MV-Jäähdytys.

“The possibility to give our customers a complete service offering under one roof was essential in our decision to begin a collaboration with MV-Jäähdytys,” said Toni Kankaanpää, CEO of Talotekniikka Hile. “In addition, MV-Jäähdytys can offer us expertise and rapid technical support when we need it. That’s a huge benefit for our customers, and for us.”

The acquisition of Talotekniikka Hile entered into force on April 30, 2025.

Market Context

These acquisitions align with Nordic Climate Group’s strategy of regional growth through entrepreneur-led companies. The approach enhances service capabilities and operational coverage across key areas in Sweden and Finland.
