Philip Brangers Appointed President of Daikin France

Daikin Airconditioning France has appointed Philip Brangers as its new president, effective April 1, 2025. He succeeds Hideki Nishimura, who returns to a leadership role at Daikin’s global headquarters in Japan. This appointment marks a strategic continuity for the French subsidiary of the Japanese group, which specializes in HVAC-R solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial markets.

Brangers, 51, is a Belgian national with a background in mechanical and industrial engineering, complemented by a master’s degree in business management. He joined Daikin in 1995, starting in sales management for the Mediterranean, Russia, and North and West Africa regions. Over the years, he has held various key positions within Daikin Europe, including sales and marketing strategy, regional business development, and logistics.

Between 2017 and 2021, he served as Commercial Director of Daikin France. He then moved back to Daikin Europe to oversee logistics and supply chain operations, managing the flow of equipment from factories to European subsidiaries and clients. In January 2024, he returned to Daikin France as Vice President.

"France is one of the most important markets for Daikin Europe. It offers unique technical and cultural challenges," said Brangers. "We are navigating a volatile market, with several cyclical factors affecting heat pump sales. However, the future of heat pumps remains clear. Their benefits are undeniable in the context of energy transition and decarbonization. Daikin France has the resources, talent, and expertise to accelerate growth, and I am honored to lead this effort."

Daikin France, headquartered in Nanterre, was founded in 1993. It operates 13 commercial branches, 4 regional offices, 7 technical platforms, 6 training centers, and 3 logistics hubs. Most of its products are manufactured at Daikin’s European facilities.
