Safe Monitoring Group acquires German gas detection specialist Schick

Safe Monitoring Group AB, a European group of gas detection manufacturers, has acquired Schick Gaswarnanlagen GmbH, a German company specializing in gas detection sales and service. The transaction, which closed in August 2025, further strengthens Safe Monitoring Group’s market position.

Schick Gaswarnanlagen has more than 30 years of experience in the industry. Its gas detection solutions are used in facilities worldwide, including underground car parks, factories, wineries, agricultural and food production sites, water treatment plants, and laboratories.

Following the acquisition, Schick will collaborate with other Safe Monitoring Group companies in Sales, Marketing, Procurement, and Service. The integration aims to expand the portfolio of products and services available to customers of both companies and support new applications.

“I am thrilled to be ‘stronger together’ as part of the united Safe Monitoring Group with Schick Gaswarnanlagen,” said Susanne Schick, CEO and former owner of Schick Gaswarnanlagen GmbH. “Together, we are stronger and better equipped to meet the growing needs of our markets.”

“I have had the pleasure of getting to know Schick over the past years and have been consistently impressed by their professionalism and service quality,” added Alexander Larsson, CEO of Safe Monitoring Group. “We look forward to growing the business together. This acquisition marks another step in our strategy to expand both geographically and across applications through organic growth and targeted acquisitions.”

Safe Monitoring Group acquired 100% of Schick’s shares. As part of the agreement, the sellers reinvested part of the proceeds and became shareholders in Safe Monitoring Group, remaining actively involved in the business development.
