Secop CapSel App is now available

Secop's Capillary Tube Selection Software CapSel – which allows the user to calculate the measurements of a capillary tube throttling device for a refrigeration system using empirical formulas – is now available as an App for devices running on Apple's iOS or Google's Android operating systems.

The Secop CapSel App makes it possible to design a capillary tube expansion device for compressor cooling systems. Capillary tubes are often used in light commercial refrigeration systems, mobile refrigeration systems, and household refrigerators instead of a thermostatic expansion device, with natural refrigerants. Well-designed capillary tubes in a hermetically sealed compressor system can lead to an energy-efficient system, which can be improved by the technology of variable speed compressors.

The App includes the hydrocarbon refrigerants R290 and R600a. Capillary tubes for refrigerating compressor systems with other refrigerants can also be calculated as well as the transitional refrigerants R452A and R513A.
