Sensience Earns Additional UL Certification for A2L Gas Sensing

Sensience, a sensor manufacturer that enables enhanced safety and sustainability for leading manufacturers, announced the attainment of UL certification for adherence to UL 60335-2-40, 4th edition  as it relates to detecting the refrigerant R-454B.  This milestone is in addition to their previous certification of R-32 refrigerants.

The certification comes as Sensience continues to focus on helping the HVACR industry prepare for the January 2025 transition deadline to A2L refrigerants. Due to their mild flammability, A2L gas sensing is critical for ensuring safety, compliance with regulations, protecting the environment, and maintaining the integrity of equipment in applications where these refrigerants are used.

Sensience is proud to be at the forefront of innovation within the sensing market, setting a new standard for gas sensing technologies. This certification represents a pivotal step in the company's ongoing commitment to development of products that enable a sustainable future.
