SKVP Joins REAL Alternatives Consortium as National Lead for Sweden
The REAL Alternatives consortium is pleased to announce that SKVP, the Swedish Cooling & Heating Pump Association, has joined as the National Lead for Sweden in the Real Alternatives training program. SKVP represents Swedish entrepreneurs in the sector and supports their transition towards a more sustainable and energy-efficient future.

SKVP is dedicated to strengthening the Refrigeration and Heat Pump market in Sweden by promoting a competitive environment and supporting life cycle-based decisions. The association emphasizes knowledge development through research and industry standards and actively engages with policymakers to highlight the industry's importance. SKVP advocates for sustainability through natural refrigerants and energy-efficient solutions.

Commenting on their new role in the project, SKVP stated: "We applied to be a National Lead in Sweden as the new implementing act for certification is set. It's essential to provide quality training material in Swedish for the industry, as every professional working with refrigerants must have the right skills. Real Alternatives provides a solid foundation to achieve this and will be accessible to everyone. This is crucial as the switch to alternative refrigerants will now proceed rapidly."

Miriam Roadway, Chief Executive of the Institute of Refrigeration and Real Alternative Ambassador, added, "The influence of REAL Alternatives low GWP refrigerant training continues to grow. We are delighted to welcome our latest partner, SKVP, representing Sweden. This brings the total number of participating countries in Europe to 21 and globally to 25. The consortium aims to deliver high-quality, consistent low GWP training. REAL Alternatives provides the training materials, and the national lead will register trainers and deliver the training in their respective countries. This initiative exemplifies how industry-led efforts can sustainably improve skills for the future."

SKVP's participation in the REAL Alternatives consortium marks a significant step in promoting sustainable practices in the Swedish refrigeration and heat pump industry.
