Systemair AB has acquired Temspec Incorporated, a Canadian designer and manufacturer of decentralised HVAC equipment. The acquisition, completed on July 23, 2026, strengthens Systemair’s North American operations in multi-storey building and school applications.
Founded in 1971, Temspec designs equipment focused on energy efficiency and noise reduction. The company operates a head office and manufacturing plant in Mississauga, Ontario, and employs approximately 90 people.
Temspec reported revenue of approximately EUR 18 million (about CAD 29 million; approximately USD 21 million) in fiscal year 2024/25, with an EBIT margin above Systemair’s target. The company will be integrated into Systemair’s North American operations, which employ approximately 555 people.
“The acquisition of Temspec strengthens Systemair’s position in the North American market, and makes us the undisputed leader in ventilation solutions for schools. With complementary products and an established sales representative network, we see significant opportunities for revenue growth,” said Robert Larsson, President and CEO of Systemair.
