Tecumseh Products Company LLC launched a new and improved website www.tecumseh.com to streamline navigation and find products quickly. In a fast and rapidly changing commercial environment, Tecumseh is dedicated to providing an efficient digital platform for customers and users to connect their business needs to Tecumseh’s comprehensive portfolio of cooling solutions.
In this launch, Tecumseh consolidated previously fragmented regional websites into a streamlined global site. Regardless of user’s regional locations, users will have access to Tecumseh’s global catalog with all compressors and systems produced by Tecumseh. “We offer one of the widest ranges of refrigeration technology in the industry, from fractional reciprocating compressors for commercial refrigerators, to condensing units with semi-hermetics for cold-rooms, to DC-powered eCompressors for electric vehicle applications”, said Hiroshi Saito, the Vice President of Marketing. “We are very excited to make our entire product offerings available to our global customers with global needs.”
The new website has a number of new tools and enhancements. The new application search tool allows users to narrow down the product catalog based on applications relevant to their business and industry. Vice President of IT, Chet Brown, said “To simplify the selection process of the vast solution offerings from Tecumseh, we introduced a new filter-based catalog approach.” The ecommerce-like search feature allows flexibility for users to perform relevant equipment and component selections without navigating the entire global product catalog. Likewise, the new product search function enhances the web user’s experience when filtering through product attributes. Users can now use filters based on Tecumseh’s product family, refrigerant, voltage, displacement and much more.
Tecumseh’s new website has also integrated TecTools, a comprehensive resource for contractors and engineers, which gives them access to technical data, heat load calculations and wholesale locators at their fingertips. “We fundamentally redesigned the website so all the tools and product data are seamlessly integrated and available for users regardless of their locations or devices, such as mobile phones and tablets. This is a big milestone for Tecumseh’s digital transformation effort,” said Brown.
By registering for a Tecumseh account, users will be granted with enhanced features, such as keeping project records in a personalized library for future reference. Registering for an account is free, and users are highly encouraged to register and experience the full resource tools the website and TecTools has to offer.
The new website is live and available in seven languages.
