The CAREL team for World Refrigeration Day

World Refrigeration Day is celebrated on 26 June every year, and aims to promote the importance of refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pumps. In 2021, the international campaign will not only celebrate the sector as a whole, but also and above all the people who every day work in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry with passion and commitment. CAREL considers this event to be a fundamental opportunity for increasing awareness of the HVAC/R sector and the importance that refrigeration technologies have in our society. This year it will be doing so by celebrating its employees from all around the world and their careers and actions in one of the areas that is at the heart of modern life and essential for the success of the Montreal Protocol on ozone-depleting substances.

The program of events supported by CAREL include, on Thursday 1 July at 9.15 am, the super webinar entitled “Careers in Cooling: how young cooling professionals will save our world 2.0”, organised by Centro Studi Galileo. Miriam Solana, CAREL HVAC/R Technical Knowledge Specialist, will present a speech entitled “10 reasons to join the cooling sector”, in which she will explore the possibilities and responsibilities relating to careers in the HVAC/R business. Miriam Solana and Raul Simonetti, HVAC/R Corporate Business Manager, will also be featured in the video produced by Eurovent devoted to the 2021 campaign entitled “Cooling Champions: Cool Careers for a Better World “.

Finally, CAREL will celebrate its own “Champions” in a blog post dedicated to World Refrigeration Day, telling the life stories of some of its team members who have established a career in cooling, either by choice or by chance. While for the entire team it will be promoting a symbolic campaign called “We are COOL... we are CAREL!”, offering all its employees a cool break with an ice-pop - perfectly stored in a freezer, naturally “driven by CAREL”.
