Torraval Cooling, part of the MITA Group, has acquired the entirety of Intercal as part of its 2024-2026 strategic plan. This acquisition is expected to open up new business opportunities within the service sector.
Founded in 1967, TORRAVAL Cooling boasts extensive local and international experience as a cooling tower manufacturer. The company designs, manufactures, and markets customized cooling equipment, offering evaporative and adiabatic cooling solutions for the process industry, HVAC, and industrial and commercial refrigeration for sectors such as power generation and oil and gas.
With this move, Torraval Cooling integrates a team of skilled technicians in technical service, which enhances its significant presence in the eastern part of the Iberian Peninsula.
“Customer service has always been in TORRAVAL Cooling’s DNA, and with this acquisition we strengthen our presence and multiply our service capabilities,” said Pablo Garrido, Torraval’s general manager.
Intercal, based in Barcelona, has a history spanning over 35 years. The company specializes in the installation, repair, and maintenance of all types of cooling towers and evaporative condensers.
Joan Duran, a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in the industrial refrigeration sector, will lead Intercal moving forward.
